Data Science for Social Good
Our mission is to foster the use of data science for positive social impact. We train and support a new generation of data scientists, provide direct support to nonprofits, and develop tools that ensure data science and artificial intelligence are used to positively and equitably benefit people all over the world.
What we do
“We create interdisciplinary programs and content to train the next generation of responsible data scientists to tackle social problems that matter.”
Tools & Solutions
“We incubate ideas, tools, and solutions to scale the impact of data science for social good. All of our code is available as open-source.”
“We are growing a global community to collaborate on problems with a social impact.”
We have a wide range of initiatives designed to create impact: from training data scientists, governments, and non profits to work on social impact projects, to developing tools for ethical and responsible AI, to connecting social good organizations with data science needs and volunteers who can help them.
Solve for Good
Solve for Good is our volunteer platform – for social good organizations to ask for help, and for volunteers to help scope and solve those problems.
DSSG Summer Fellowship is our flagship 3-month summer program to train aspiring data scientists to work on machine learning, data science, and AI projects with social impact in close collaboration with governments and NGOs.
